Uganda Police stock up ahead of M7 win

KAMPALA - The police have imported a hefty amount of high-tech anti-opposition-member gear ahead of the incumbent’s win in next month’s general elections. Among the new equipment are more than a dozen teargas vehicles, water cannons, pepper sprayers, troop carriers and buses, all  supplied by a Chinese firm.

The hardware arrived in Kampala on Tuesday between 2pm and 3pm as curious onlookers gathered by the roadside, no doubt debating which way they preferred to die. President Museveni is expected to win by at least 66% according to an opinion poll conducted Synovate.
